My son is moving to L.A. in a few weeks and asked me to sell his Jetta, he's had it 6 years.

8 valve, 2.0 4cyl. 5 speed -- 141k miles. Eiback progressive springs, Techtronics Super Chip, Stainless cat-back exhaust, Monza tip, upper stress bar, California Car Cover.

Last 9 months: New alternator, starter, battery
Last 3 months: New front rotors and pads, new rear drum assemblies.

You guys in the sunbelt won't care, but it has TSW wheels and Kumhos PLUS a set of steelies with Hakappalita snows. Moon roof, wind up windows, 60/40 folding rear seat, K&N filter. This is a dependable, well maintained, never beat on car you could send a kid off to college in and sleep at night.

Passed the more stringent NYC Inspection.

NADA and KBB put it at $2700 - 3600. He's asking $3100 to take $2900.

Located near Albany, NY.

Good car and dependable, even when you pound it in Solo II SCCA racing :D The nice thing about this year (and 1994) is that it's OBD I (not OBD II) and it uses dual valve springs! 1995.5 and on only have single valve springs and are OBD II (which is less tolerant of engine upgrades ;) ). This comes into play when using more aggressive cams. I think it's under-priced but NY values could be different compared to Oregon. If you haven't done so, post in the VWVortex.com classifieds. Very big audience there. Good luck!
