Jaime, it is a spyder in the sense that it lacks a roof or any real provision for one. I believe this is what separates a convertible from a spyder. Does that make BP the "original" Boxster Spyder
Grant, you really do have a thing for open top cars don't you. It looks OK and it does seem as though it might actually be a 993. It has a 993 cowl anyways. One annoyance with owning a 993 race car is people are continually asking you and conjecturing that it isn't really a 993. I don't know though, I am not sure why anyone would build such a car. If you want a modern 911, a GT3 offers a much better performance to price ratio. Wait what am I saying, I am trying to sell a 993. GT3s are ugly and suck
I have found though that modern 911s, and to some extent all modern cars, don't really light my fire so to speak. My 993 in particular is very very fast but it seems to be lacking any real character. It drives like a incredible tool for going fast but fails to evoke the passion and joy that the 70's era Porsches I have sampled make you feel when you drive one.
