I really wish this event was not on the same weekend as the PCA club race at CA> Speedway and the same weekend as my Grand-Am race

Evan,
Grant is 6'4-5 and 275. You wouldn't be able to see over the dash!!

Have you seen how low the seat is on the 993? I can't see jack in it either and am staring at the steering wheel rim. Same deal with the 914, I removed the dash top because it was in the way of my line of sight. I understand some people feel that you need to be able to see the front of the car but I have not found it to be a problem. But ya, Carl V. would probably be a better choice, Boxster skills, and height wise.

What is the difference with pro solo? I dont understand the whole pro verses solo thing?
ProSolo is where they create 2 mirror image courses next to each other. They then start cars 2 at a time using a drag tree. You end up getting 6 runs on each half by the end, 12 overall, by sunday lunch. They add your fastest time on each course together to get your full time.
These videos from the Wendover Pro should make it much clearer:

As for the noise requirements, I have systems in the works for both the intake and the exhaust. The plan is in motion.

OK Brit better get that "turd tank" moving fast. Youre going to have company. Nice little Boxster verses 914 battle. You know of any other fast FP cars going? I dont think you have to worry about the family sedan in our class currently.

Looking at FP competition registered I'm shooting fror Bronze medal.
http://ams.scca.com/netforum/eweb/dynamicP...d1&class=FPReally looking forward to having a class down in SD this year. All German FP!
Funny thing is there are actually 3 FP cars in SD, an RX7 and a couple 240's. Hoping they will show up too.
And hey, watch that sedan crap.. it's a coupe! Hahaha

Just kidding!

It looks like a fast car. Im sure you have us small displacement flat 6 guys skunked in the HP department.
It's a stock 2.8 with cams. Engine is the last thing that will be worked on ;). If we can get Mark from Texas to bring his EVO then we'll be out HP'd.

I never said it was a secret, he just hasn't signed up yet. It is the owner of FatCatMotorsports, he did the revalve on my shocks. He normally runs an E-stock Miata and used to run a prepared car. Not looking for him to be really fast, just to warm the tires.

We will see how it goes but I just want to make it clear that I am not expecting this outcome.

Got it. Too bad as would love to see at least two fast guys in your car to assure you get top places wrapped up. We may have some turbo Subi company down there. I'm suprized we dont see more EVO's and STi's in FP. They really should be class leading cars on the heavy end. Mid engine cars with minimum class weight being lightweight class leaders.
The two fast guys who run XP in an EVo and STi really have FP cars unless I'm missing something. I invited them to play with us.
They'll need to install restrictors.

Our SFR guys are running XP. Sorry but I may change classes to XP guys. I'm not afraid of losing to the Elise and I have been wanting to beat that Sti for a while. Think on more flowing course I might have a chance against him.
Are there any other expected FP drivers? Hate to be in small 3 car field when XP looks like its the place to be.
We'd certainly be sad to see you guys go. 6 drivers is a decent class for prepared at a national tour. We had to run XP last year because the locals never want to show up in FP.

For the Hoosier Contingency:
There must be a minimum of three cars in the class to earn first place awards
and a minimum of five cars in the class to earn second place awards.

Don't forget, from what I've heard Goodyear is also offering contingency this year, you just have to sign up for it through Jeff Keisel.
They also usually have FP and XP running around the same time so times would be comparable if times are all that you're looking for VS the sti.

Also will likely be going without any signficant mods. Appears competitor phone call to Brad to not help me until after event has worked. I wasnt overly motivated but it would have been nice to have a car that at least had a chance.
I'll be in stock powered car with limited 2nd gear and 250 lbs over class weight so think this will just be time to gain expereince.
Well we'll be happy to have ya man, come grab a beer for the course walk on friday night. Hooiser Tom called yesterday to say that he's been getting calls from our competitors about how fast we are, so there's certainly someone out there callin around. Either way, you never know who'll be in front till the last run is done.
