OK, we have only 5 short weeks left until GGR-AX1 at Alameda. Who's got plans to be there and what's new in yer holster?
I hope to be there in the orange car, learning how to autocross all over again. You?

Not sure if my engine will be ready by then. There sure a lot of AX's on my calendar, not sure which ones I will make. Gotta be at all the LPR events in Marina.
Has GGR finished revising their points classification system? Just curious what class I will be in.

Guess I'm ready. Got the NT01s mounted and the car's been waxed. I'll be at the first event - unless it's raining.

I don't believe I've made a showing with my new engine at a GGR a/x yet.
It'll be a little while before I flare the car, but I should be ready for #1.
I expect to be in the top 10...

Just FYI I read on another forum Fordahl's GT3 powered AX Boxster has done its first autocross and apparently has plans to take it to the SCCA Nationals. I think that car has the posibility of waxing just about any of the other cars I know to be built or being built.

I hope to be there with a new clutch and rear springs. Also curious about GGR classing...may sell the race tires with those 3-piece 15x7" 4 lug wheels and go with a fast "street tire" steup and duke it out in a lower class.

I may have a buyer for your wheels/tires...

Tough year to figure for categories and the all important bench racing. For now, I'll keep the sticky rubber, but am forced to go with a 9" rear to drop 10 pts and squeez into AX6.... I don't even have room to get a lightweight battery (5 pts).
Seems 'doable' to put 285s on the 9" wheels, but... ???
Changes now include new wheels (987 18"), GT3 front control arms, lightweight flywheel & Sachs 6 spring clutch, underdrive pulley and a racing shell for the passenger side and I removed ALL the A/C (~35 lbs.) Also removed camber plates and adjustable rear toe links.
I had the IMS retrofit bearing done yesterday. The original allegedly was fine.
Bought another tire trailer (SouthSport - out of business years ago) and am refurbishing it and painted it the color of orange the 914 in the photo above in the 914club.com sign. Anyone need a Harbor Freight tire trailer?
See ya'll out there.

Dan,
Camber plates not needed now with the GT3 lower arms. The rear toe links were really not necessary as I'm still just slightly within the range of adjustment for the stock links.
I'm hoping that the ride to/from events will be a little more comfortable without the monoballs and I'll find out if I made a mistake when I get on course.
Travelling in the right lane with the tire trailer can sometimes be brutal - I'd hit some transition strips (overpasses) and really get hammered - felt like the fenders would fall off.

Grant,
.... so far, I haven't been worried.

But - 2100 lbs. may prove too much (little) for the old boy. I have a feeling that on a good day - you're going to be really hard to keep up with.

Sorry, the world is all out of underdrive pulleys for this season.
Tarett - 16% reduction... includes new bolt. They'll give you the part number for the new belt too.
dang ..... now I know I'm not going to get you by 2 seconds (AX6 vs. AX10).

Thanks Ken. Just considering it. It's pretty cheap for the gain, but seems expensive for what a simple part it is. Should cost $100.

How many people normally class their cars? Currently, 110 cars have been listed - 9 or 10 duplicate entries.
Seems to me that there should be a lot more if we count all of the regions.
