Well we finally got tired of the fact that Porsche has discontinued their horn grilles and only offers the very very expensive chromed driving light grilles. Hence we contracted with a very reliable high quality manufacturer to do perfect replicas for us. Enclosed is a picture of the first samples (unchromed) to come out of the molds. As you can see we offer them in all of the original different varieties.

Best of all, these will be astoundingly inexpensive for you our fellow 914 lover, and will join our stainless chrome bumpers perfect fit bumper top seals, and front and rear bumper guards.

We should be able to sell a set of two in your choice of driving light hole or plain in chrome for 59.50 a set

Porsche914. The set I have were chrome and a PO painted them black. Getting that paint off scoured a lot of the chrome and they don't look good. When George gets the new ones to me, I'll send you my old ones for free and you can paint the black again. It'll be good to see them get some use rather than sitting in a bin in my garage.

believe it or not, it was just as costly to make them in chrome as in black, so we opted for chrome. Even the black painted bumper cars had chrome driving light grilles in them. Only the non appearance group 70-72 and limited edition cars had black or body colored ones installed. We also figured that the chrome ones will be cheap enough to scuff and paint black if need be

these are being made for us from aluminum tooling under high pressure injection molding. They are being done in India from a very reliable and precise company who does our angle drives, factory look console gauges, and emergency brake equalizer cables. There products are always the best.

This couldn't have come at a more perfect time!!! I have been looking everywhere for non-fog light hole replacements for my 74 2.0 non-appearance group car.

Any idea on when they will be on the website?

Thank you we will. The problem is that this is a small market and NO ONE needs to duplicate what someone else is already making.
In the past we would all call each other about it before making something and each made something different, all highly needed parts.
What then happened is someone violated that trust (not any of the old guys) and started duplicating what was already made, winding up in a sort of war thus diluting the market and in certain instances putting some hard working guys making one high quality part out of business Then there was also the story of the one manufacturer steeling hundreds of thousands of dollars on another's tooling, going to jail for trafficking and then when out selling the company with the tooling to another. All very sad goings on. We in the Porsche community used to be honorable gentlemen. No more it seems.
We had had the grilles planned for a long time to compliment our chrome bumpers we make and our bumper top seals, and bumper guards. Thought that we would offer a chrome bumper update package when everything was ready, but the grilles took a bit longer than we thought.
We will have both the straight horn grilles and the ones with the hole, the driving light grilles. Since it was the same price for chrome or painted, we are having them all made in chrome. Very few cars had painted grilles except limited edition models and 70-72 non appearance group cars. Cars in 73 74 with the black bumpers believe it or not had chrome grilles installed
