Obviously, you've been doing something constructive instead of wasting time posting here. It is beautiful. What brand are the wheels.

So this is my new favorite picture of the car since adding the Mahles and Goodyears. I have made a small adjustment to the front ride height that finally makes her sit right.

Hey everybody,
I've been reading along for quite a few years now, but finally purchased my first 914 for a reasonable price that was relatively close to home. Attempting to fix things and managing to break things has pushed me onto the forum :D

Anyways, here is the 73 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Mike

... and i'm having trouble posting a pic. will try again later

This is my new teener.
My first.
A bit of a rare vehicle here in Australia.
I have named her Violet after a chocolate bar we have over here called a 'Violet Crumble', not sure if you get them in the US.
She is an Oct 1972 build 1.7, clean and unmodified except for the paint colour ( later model Porsche colour )

Cheers

Dale

Ok so same picture since Oct 4, time to change it.

More or less the same spot as the picture above, but it gets dark early now (Dec. 4th 4:30-5:00ish)

1973 1.7, factory specs and getting ready to put some American Racing Le Mans wheels/Alloys on her. Great shape, only some minor rust on one rocker, everything else is solid. Had dealer installed A/C but took the compressor off as access is sucky with it. Besides, who needs A/C in a 914?
She was a nostalgia buy, as I grew up with two different brothers owning one, and the oldest has rebuilt and modified several since. She was purchased with 74k and the same owner since 1975 when she came into my life. What a special car, and I hope to keep her happy!
And no, she does not get driven in the weather at all. This pic was on the ride home from picking it up, had to fly across the state and pick her up in a major storm that comes once every 25 years to the east part of WA. She drove like a champ through amazing byways and mountain passes to get her home! The kinda roads this car was made for! Still haven't decided on a name for her yet...

This is a link to a car I considered converting for year. .. note the 914-6 rims I'm selling with the car:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsche-914...5#ht_2128wt_958

Please phone me if you have any questions. I'd love to see this car go to an enthusiast. . .as opposed to a random person looking to make money by restoring it.

Here's another with a protection strip (believe it was a dealer. . NOT FACTORY option):

Yeah I thought it looked odd at first, but it does keep the dings away. Like yer colors and interior and is in nice shape. Just wish I had as much sun as you to enjoy her! Long winters up here and she hates the rain....

Wow, our cars are related. Mine is a 1972, however... Anyway, I am going to try to put some newer photos here but they are mostly crappy quality phone pictures. I know, I know...

Unfortunately, Monty at Redmond European has the car right now, putting two new fuel injectors in. My next mission is to start putting ethanol-free gas in it since I don't drive the car all year and this is the second injector replacement in 2 years.
