They had me in AX16. I should be AX13 now but I guess I'm not in the running for anything so it's not that big a deal. I even had them change it on the chart but I guess it didn't translate into the results posted.

how long has it been since the Smurf hasn't had TTOD at a GGR event?

I think it was last year at Marina on another power course late last year against the same characters. I always know its a power course when get this close to Andrew. My car is faster in a straight line once I can get motor into powerband.

OK. Hey Larry, why is my car in the same class as a 1975 911 Carrera that has almost 2 times the HP as mine???
I'm new to this stuff so I don't know anything about how this is calculated.

Sure looked like a 914 to me. Guess thats the last time you haul the toilets out for GGR? (IMG:http://www.914club.com/bbs2/style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) Too bad reasonable minds didnt prevail on that one. If you guys ever get in a pinch like that again I'd be happy to work a double shift. That goes for any 914 person who is having mechnicals.

I case they forgot, I also hauled their timing trailer around the course while they threw the cones.

Oh, and I instructed. If I stayed, I was taking *all* of the garbage away with me as well.
( like last time )

Good times... (IMG:http://www.914club.com/bbs2/style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

in stock form it isnt all about power .. 914's are better suited to a autocross course than a stock 911. you weigh less. lower center of Gravity, wider track and better low end torque that a 1975 ...look at the overall results .. the 914 versus the GT3.. pretty close you have to admit and grant doesnt have all the power and tire of the GT3 .. but he is competitive

My 2000lb 90 horsepower 4 cylinder car on street tires up against a 2400lb 175 horsepower 6 cylinder car. I didn't realize I have such an advantage. It's mind boggling to think the car I have is almost twice as good at running that AX track than a Carrera. That's very exciting. I've never driven a 911 so I didn't know. Makes me feel pretty darned good about my lil Stella. Remember, I am very new to this stuff so please forgive my ignorance.

MAN, it must be a thrill to drive a 914-6. I plan on putting my 2.7 in a 914 over the winter and AX it next year. That should be a kick in the pants!!!! I always heard the 914 referred to as a go cart or like riding on a rail but never heard that about the 911s. I just heard the 911s were fast. Maybe I should try one out to see what it's like.
