I am rebuiling a 72, 914 to close to stock. The original Pedrinni's wheels are in good shape, but I was thinkng of painting them as the back side has some minor corrosion on them. Any idea of the paint color used on these?

Wrong!

They weren't painted. Natrual finish.

Take varying grades of 600-1000 grit paper to them, then use steel wool to them (lightly). Tack cloth them & seal them with a clear coat.

Not as good as re-anodizing them. but the finish will at leat be realistic and protective.
